I've taken a break from Annihilation and made this Phoenix Wright figure.

His body is Marvel Legends Professor X. I had to redo the front of the jacket to cover that waistcoat and bring the lapels further up onto the chest.

The head and hands are X-men Classics Iceman. I changed his mouth and added eyebrows. His spiky hair is clay supported by cocktails sticks. The eyes were interesting. The anime style eyes are bigger than a realistically sculpted head will allow, so I had to paint them beyond the lines of the sculpt.

Although this is a brightly coloured cartoony character, I tried to keep the paint a little more to my style with more shading and tones than the original art has.

Feedback

"Hi Craig,

I recieved Great Ultron yesturday and all I can say is OMFG. As soon as I opened it my jaw dropped. Without a doubt this is the best custom I ever bought. Excellent work your skills make Great Ultron look too awesome. The wires in the midsection blew me away dude and I like how you make the cape. Here are some pics of Great Ultron with my collection. My girlfriend also said you did an excellent job. Just need a chair for him and need to reposition my figures to make him stick out more.

Up, Up and Away

By airmail. That's how Ultron Mk. 2 finally went across the sea to his commissioner. After I said I was finished with him, I emailed the customer to show him some photos.

You can see from the photos below that I just took quick shots of the piece on my worktop. Well that didn't seem to go down well and the customer suggested touching up some of the paintwork and adding a couple of more details. I did what he requested after grumping about it for a while and when I next showed him the piece I made certain to take more time over the photos.

He seemed delighted and I think I made the new Ultron better than the original in some respects.

I just have to wait and see what he thinks when he receives it in person.

Commission

I finished the commission. It took a long time, but I have been a bit busy the past couple of weeks. And Mario Kart hasn't helped.

Anyway, here is Ultron Mk. II. (He's the one on the left.)
